           This is the first of the Cardanon Chronicles and is published by Gypsy Shadow Publishing as an ebook.


       

        The Silver House is a big fantasy adventure story.
        It has politics, Dragons, love, treachery, friendships, heroes, grisly murders, magic and lots of geography. Although many of the characters are young and some are children this is not really a children's book. It deals with adult themes and has some violence but is not sexually explicit. The romance is courtly and the battles more heroic than gory.

        The story starts with the fall of the city of Cardanon and the magical removal of the Silver House and the city's children into a sort of limbo state in the strands of Power that weave this world together. Sisters from the House and the heir to the Dukedom collect a group of resourceful young people together to escape from the invading armies. Their dangerous journey takes them through new and strange lands searching for help and safety. Far away the cry for help from the House is heard and heroes set out to look for the danger that they believe is moving against their own lands.
        The young people start to grow up as they travel and as they discover their world you can do the same. These youngsters include a Sister, left behind by the Silver House, an apprentice tradesman with ambitions to rise in the world as a doctor, the young Duke, his page, a beggar girl and a girl with ambitions to join the Sisterhood. They deal with crazed Dragons, drunken sailors, fleeing mercenaries, dissolute princes and, behind everything, the bloodthirsty invaders.
Meanwhile our heroes in far Athelberg discover that the enemy already has spies in their own Houses of Power and have to cleanse their own city before they can go to war for their own defense. We follow the the city's General as he scouts the countryside and deals with the death of his friend.
        On top of all that we find the secrets of old love stories, discover the mistakes in the land's history that have paved the way for this generation's wars and see the youngsters start to find their own places and loves in their new worlds. 

      That is quite a lot of book and I hope you choose to join me in the adventure.
